Looking for a swedish horror film: Hey guys, sorry but I aint swedish, but I AM looking for a swedish movie, and I don't know who to ask. Luckily I found you guys! See heres the deal; I grew up on horror movies, loved them, until they started to bore my brains out. Same with a friend of mine. We loved them for some reason I can't explain, cause non of them scared us, I guess we hoped to find one, one day that would change that. Anyway last weekend, this same friend of mine told me, that long after we thought we had seen it all and stoped watching them, he saw one on TV in broad daylight which scared him shitless! I was like "ooooook, that has to be some messed up shit!" Well he told me some details he rememberd (He saw this movie like 8 years ago or so) It goes like this; Its about some people who are in some forest cabin or something, and they find a sheep/goat head there I think, and one of the females in the group gose crazy after the sheep/goat head incident, and runs screaming into the woods in the middle of the night, the others then go looking for her, but cant find her. Thats about all he told me, he might have mixed some stuff up, but thats as clear as I can tell you, I hope you know which movie I am refering to, cause I would very much like to see what the fuzz is about; he also said "you know what, screw american horror movies, swedish horror movies are by far the best!" I would like a title, and perhaps even a link to where I can buy it on blu-ray if possible. Thank you for your help my dear swedes! he might be right or wrong about the horror movies in sweden, but you sure got the best musicians! |

From your description it can be "The Unknown" (Det okända). http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0243465/ Havent had the time to find out if its available on bluray or anything. Unfortunately swedish domentic films are very rarly subbed in other languages than nordic languages (which is driving me nuts, living in ireland, and want to show some of the swedish masterpieces to my non swedish speaking friends). It could be worth a look anyway. I do remember getting scared by this one, even though somethings are a bit...not scary. Edit: Had a search for it on swedish DVD site, but I can only find it on Ginza.se for 29 SEK (2.8£, but its out of stock, and out of print so not sure if its available at all. My guess is though that Bluray is out of the question. Its over 10 years old, and made the money back at best, so I dont think any company want to spend money on a bluray release on this one unfortunately. The other swedes on this site might have better luck, knowing which sites are the best at the moment in sweden (as I dont live there anymore). __________________________ I hope you understand that the knowledge I bring Puts me in a position of a god or a king //Clawfinger [Inlägget redigerades av miffo 2012-02-22 10:27:21] |
